They offer Ballet, Modern, Jazz, at times Tap, and other features when they become either popular, or when a teacher is available to teach it ( IE Hip Hop ).

The teaching staff is community established, and the students are encouraged to participated in festivals and competitions. This makes them a main and established dance school.

Following this record is East End Ballroom of Latin Dance School.

Here you will be able to take what is considered to be the main core of the social dances. Presently, this school's appearances on the internet is realitively new, and there is no writings which is attributable to either the school or its staff of teachers. Nevertheless, they did accomblish the minimum to be mentioned here. Moreover, I would like someone who has taken classes to leave a comment about this school and teaching staff.

RC / Editor

Atlantis Marine World, Long Island’s newest Aquarium

Atlantis Marine World

Atlantis Marine World, Long Island’s newest Aquarium, is located in downtown Riverhead on 3.2 acres along the scenic Peconic River. This is a three day event, which this year hosted fifty bands and over 400 performers, on two indoor and two outdoor stages, and all for free! As with years past, the sixth annual festival, held July 16th-18th in downtown Riverhead, covered quite a bit of ground, but this reviewer was able to see performers on Saturday.

On the Riverfront stage, Rob Ross made you think of John Lee Hooker and had the crowd dancing up a storm. The Chuck Lambert Band followed and gave a great performance of a variety of tunes, the harmonica was especially impressive. Two blocks away on the smaller of the outdoor stages was Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco band, Mel Melton and the Wicked Mojos, who were the highlight for the night for this reviewer and his wife. With a small crowd of about 150, everybody got to hear a variety of Cajun songs and some cool solos by the band members. Hope their back next year.

Every year the Town of Riverhead has improved on the organization of the festival, and next year another indoor stage is already planned. Lets hope it stays a free event. My personal thanks to the town for a chance to hear some good blues.
